Contribute to a Campaign that Will Shape the Future of Our Community
Our rented spaces are no longer enough for the growing needs of our Jewish community. We’ve found the ideal location, but we need your help to secure it before closing on Jan 27th. This new home will allow us to gather, celebrate, and grow for generations.
As our community has grown, so have our needs. Our current rented space can no longer accommodate our activities, and we’ve had to rent local halls and venues for larger events. Compounding this challenge, we are now facing eviction as our landlord plans to renovate and repurpose the property. It has become clear: the time is now to secure a permanent home for Jewish life in Etobicoke.
We’re excited to share that we’ve found the perfect location—a property right off Royal York Road that can host Chabad activities, serve as a residence for our family, and provide a gathering place for the community. This property boasts a large basement for the Sanctuary space, classes, dedicated kitchen and guest room. upstairs social/dining room that will host meals, events and gatherings. The property’s price is $2,150,000, and we need $850,000 for the down payment and associated fees by the closing date on January 27.
Thanks to the generosity of a local community member, we have a lead gift from Gennaro and Rosalia Family Charitable Foundation of $500,000 as an anchor donation. Now, we are launching a campaign to raise the remaining $350,000 to make this dream a reality.
Your support is crucial to the success of this project. By contributing, you are not just helping to purchase a physical building—you are ensuring the permanence of Jewish life and community in Etobicoke for generations to come.
Please open your heart and your wallet to help us reach this goal. Every dollar brings us closer to a vibrant, permanent Jewish center. Donations can be made online at charidy.com/Etobicoke, or by sending a check to 927 Royal York Rd. Etobicoke, ON M8Y2V8.
